Congratulations on taking the first step to achieving Joy In Grief. The goal here is to find a path to peace that works for YOU.
We're aiming for the skills needed to carry our precious Grief with Grace and Strength. Part of that journey is being willing to be open and vulnerable as we shed the hard shell of silence and isolation that often comes with the loss of a loved one.
We are hard-wired to find words to explain how we feel. Naming emotions out loud may seem self-indulgent but it is actually the ultimate in self-healing.
Once we have named the feeling(s) that are tied to our Grief we need to express them. That is why I have chosen a group format for this process. You may never meet the other people in your online group but you will soon realize you can trust them because they share some part of your story.
Come as "anonymous" or not; activate your camera or don't. You are still HERE and you are HEARD.
Now that you have chosen to work with us, pick an appointment time below all times are Pacific Time. More days and times may be added going forward. This will be your cohort for the duration of your membership so please make sure the timeslot will work for you most of the time. As you renew for additional months you may be able to choose a different timeslot. All the calls will be recorded and links posted in our view library so you can watch them later if you miss them or come back to them as you need to refresh what you have learned. We may not be able to talk with all of you each week but the magic of coaching is you can learn as much - sometimes more - from watching someone else be coached as you can from being coached yourself. You will also be able to watch other cohorts' sessions so the field of learning will widen with each passing week.
Remember that what doesn't resonate with you today will often hit home on another day. Also please realize that, according to David Keller of "On Grief and Grieving", "Grief is as individual as a fingerprint." What you may see as absurd in someone else's reactions is precious and tender to them.
Please be sure to email me at info@joyofgrief.com with any questions or concerns.
THE ONLY RULE IS LOVE.
